Healing the Nervous System with Bee Breath and Smiling Breath

We all have times when we are overstimulated. Our nervous system feels overwrought and jagged. This episode we do several practice aimed at soothing and nourishing the nervous system. Since it's almost spring, we'll do a humming breath known as Bee Breath. Just a humming sound that moves around the head and face, stimulating the nervous system and harmonizing the Vagus Nerve. From there we practice Smiling Breath, an uplifting easy breath that harmonizes us and brings joy and upliftment. After our pranayama, we work with white and silver light to nourish and support the nervous system. This rich abundant light cools our thoughts, moving all around the body and our body of light to organize and purify our entire being. We move out into our day refreshed and clear.

Blessings and welcome to Miriam's meditations. Thank you for joining today. Congratulations on showing up for your practice, it gets easier and easier over time as you build momentum with your practice. So you may have noticed that you are now not carving out space for your practice, but organizing your life around your practice. And that represents a big shift. So if that is happening for you, yay, good for you very happy for that momentum. And the momentum then begins to carry us and the nourishment that we get from our practice

So I invite you to close your eyes it's spring here in the northeast of us. And so as it becomes warmer, and there's more opportunities out there to listen for the insects and the birds. I thought we might practice something called be breath. The breath is a humming breath. And it's very simply just closing your mouth. Breathing in deep and rich and full through your nose and humming. Now you just continue while I speak to you notice that you can move the humming around if you press your lips together firmly as you're humming, then the vibration comes into your mouth, your lips and your throat now as you're doing that, play a little bit with the amount of pressure that you were using on your lips just enough pressure to bring that vibration to your mouth can you feel it in your nose. As you move the vibration around especially into the nose you engage the vagus nerve, which is the longest nerve in the body runs all the way from your brain to your digestive system and through all of the various parts between just a very powerful nerve and this humming breath brings it into a kind of balance now on your next breath, release the pressure in your lips keep your mouth closed but press the tongue to the roof of your mouth and see if you can get the vibration to move up into your forehead or your eyes. If you bring the sound up a little bit, a little higher tone, you can get the humming to go up to the crown of your head just play around with the tone to get the perfect sound in the right spot at the crown of the head all the way back down again pressing the lips gently back to the whole face. See if you can bring that vibration to the entire face now pause breathe in a full and easy breath let it out with a sigh

Notice how your thoughts and emotions have quieten. A kind of balance comes the clarity and a fineness to the breath. A finer quality to your breath about a smiling breath now, just as you are breathing, let your face bring a smile. It can be an inner smile so that it is not actually on your face but within you. Just draw your breath into the smile that engages our hearts and it lifts us to a place of joy. Smile smiling breath is a beautiful breath to use any moment that you need and upliftment a connection with your source or your guide, calling you into harmony and joy destroying the smiling breath into your face into your smile smile in your heart and draw the smiling breath into your heart. Let your breath be easy and gentle. I am making a sound with my breath so that you can hear me breathing. It is not necessary that you make a sound your breath can be very quiet. Just let your heart smile now we'll practice our pranayama and so when we get to the heart mind uniting breath, remember this smiling breath and see if you can use the smiling breath to augment and add to the heart mind uniting breath. So now let's bring the first two fingers of the right hand and touch the forehead right in the center of your forehead. That your third eye. Ooh, let's draw a smiling breath into our third eye. Just breathe in at your third eye. Imagine your smile is there bringing that light and joyful energy into your thoughts. One more breathe in your third eye.

I now will draw 36 spirals on the third eye going toward the left first and begin. left and down and right and up. That's 1-234-567-8910 1112 1314 1516 1718 1920 2120 220-324-2520 620-728-2931 30 230-334-3536 Pause. Inhale your smiling breaths at your third eye and exhale out the third eye. Now right hand remains stationary left hand comes up and place it on your heart. Heart mind uniting breaths with a smile. Breathing your third eye. Draw the breath deeply into your mind and release the breath and all that energy into the heart. Breathe in again your third eye exhale was smiling energy into your heart. Once more, breathe in at your third eye and exhale into your heart, heart and mind, uniting as one. Now breathe into your heart and allow the breath to lift and rise, illuminating the mind and exhaling that blended energy back into the heart. Breathe in at your heart, the breath lifts, blends and exhaling. Back down to the sweet smile of the heart. Once more breathing in at the heart.

Let your left hand drop to your left right hand remain stationary at the third eye. alternate nostril breathing breathe in through both sides of the nose and exhale out both sides of the nose. Now close off with your thumb. Breathe in the left side only. Close off with your fingers lift up your thumb breathe out breathe in same side close off lift up your fingers breathe out

insane let your hand drop to your lap and breathe out both. mindful breathing is very healing. It allows all of the bodies the physical body, the emotional body, the mental body and your spirit bodies to begin to harmonize, to come into resonance. It says though perhaps if your bodies were singing different songs. They now are all singing the same song and perhaps harmonizing the different tones the different octaves of energy that make up the totality of your earth plane being expanding your breath, your ability to expand and the ability to empty fully the breath on the exhalation. That is a very clearing and cleansing practice. Simply making sure that you are fully exhaling during these moments when we are practicing. And even allowing the exhalation to draw out and become longer than your inhalation. This is also very calming for the physical body and it calms your nervous system. Our nervous systems can become overstimulated if we have spent too much time with our devices or in a busy urban environment or simply being in a lot of meetings. spending a lot of time around others. Being in nature is also a soothing elixir for the nervous system. Imagine now that as you're drawing your breath in, allow her to come in at your third eye and come all the way into your spine and see the spinal cord at the center of your being. Just imagine for a moment instead of being at your backbone, that your spine is right in the center of your brain, you have a column of light in your hysteric body, that is at the very center of your being. There are many channels of energy that are congruent with your nervous system. That as you breathe in, in this way through your third eye into the central pillar of light, you provide energy nourishment, prana or chi to flow in with ease. This is a light nourishment that you are expanding upon with your conscious focus and your breath. Now, on your next inhalation, draw that breath into the crown of the head, and let it flow into that central pillar of light. Imagine that there is a downpouring of light that is coming from source all the way through all the many layers to you with is a brilliant beautiful white light. There is no end to this light, and your your ability to receive the light. And as this light pours in to your central pillar, allow it to flow out to all of the various nerves and nerve endings of your body. Our nervous system is the first place that we interact with ordinary reality. So it is good to bathe the nervous system in this beautiful it even can have a silvery glow, this light imagine it is taking on a luminosity, a silver, luminous light this is the color of our nervous systems. And so as we drove this particular encoded light coded with powerful frequencies of healing and peace, soothing harmony all of the various voices of your being all of the busy cells, the blood through the vessels, the nervous system, the lymph, the bone, all of this activity, your emotions, your thoughts. All of these are as voices. And with this practice of breathing this light into your central pillar. Now on your next exhalation that light expands, see your body of light all around you. This is light nourishment. It is available to you always and evermore. In any moment, there is no limit to this light. It is pure abundance. And as you practice noticing this pure abundance and flowing it through to all the layers and levels of your being and recognizing its home in your body of light. You can increase your substance for healing for ordinary substance in your life. Randy Foods was just the right people. flows of energy, all that you need. Your cup runneth over By allowing this light to flow into your body of light, you become radiance light can flow through you out and out through all the layers of reality and to a special individual or relationship that you might like to offer light for in this moment if you would like let someone come to mind who could use some of this light that we are cultivating and amplifying with our focus and consciousness recognizing that we are not endeavoring to create a certain outcome or to force a change, we are simply allowing the light to be present with this individual as they are needing it as they interface with it as they become aware of it. You have enhance the flow of life for this person with ease and love and joyous abandon releasing any ideas of outcome you are simply the conduit for this powerful flow of loving energy of light of healing

just allowing this beautiful flow of light and all of its colors and luminous SNESs. Healing, gentle flow of light expanding you nourishing noticing the flows of energy in patterns of life

with gentleness and ease back to an awareness of the breathing body with this very soft very high energy scan your body and notice any place that would like some additional light of healing energy just allow your focus to go to this part of your being and draw the breath directly in draw the prana the light, the luminous SNESs and then when you are exhaling just allow the flow to go on out and anything that can be released in this moment from this portion of your being flows out gently easily released old patterns hurts that we have held on to misalignments anything. It could even be something that just looks like a bit of cloudiness. It feels good to let that go. It's easy to let that go. A small shift is significant. A small improvement is a powerful thing. And I'll return your attention to your smiling breaths at your heart your heart is smiling. Your heart feels joy and hope. Wonder as though we are all children again. And those earliest times the magic of the world is fresh and beautiful. We are breathing that magic into our hearts and it flows on out freely given to all smiling breath. Feel how organized your energy is now orderly, congruent. Peaceful, yet centered and focused, powerful. Ready to move out into your day. The Shining Path of Light unfolds before you all that you will encounter now will be imbued with this light that you are cultivating. I bring my hands together at my heart and thanksgiving for all of you who are listening and breathing with us. Meditating, being that radiant, luminous light for the world, in your community, your family. We are the ones my friends all are welcome to be in the light. We are the ones who are envisioning and opening to the new the fresh world that is being formed.
